Top 5 Iphone travel apps

Love your iPhone and love to travel? Well here are some of our favourite travel apps that we'd like to share with you!


1) XE Currency
Convert every world currency on-the-go with the universally optimized XE Currency App for iPhone and iPad. It features live currency rates, charts, and even stores the last updated rates, so it works when the Internet doesn't. This FREE and simple currency calculator has received over five million downloads. XE Currency was an app of the week in iTunes, and has been featured by the BBC, the LA Times, CNN, and The Travel Channel
2) Foodspotting
Perfect for travellers in search of the best restaurants. This app is powered by users own reviews and pics making it a foodie's best friend.For each city, users can browse the app's selections alphabetically, by category, rank, and even neighborhood location. Naturally, you can also search for nearby restaurants on the list based on your current GPS location.














3) Pano
Pano is an award-winning app that lets you take beautiful, seamless panoramic photos straight from your phone, with no expensive desktop software necessary. Selected by Apple as one of the "Best Apps of 2009," and included in Apple's "App Store Essentials Hall of Fame,"










4) Packing (+TODO!)
Never forget to pack anything again! For less than the cost of a (*forgotten*) tube of toothpaste or a pair of socks (and the time & hassle of replacing it on the road, or in the woods?), this iPhone/iPad app can be your very own personal packing assistant.


5) Google Translate
Translate words and phrases between more than 60 languages using Google Translate for iOS. For most languages, you can speak your phrases and hear the corresponding translations.

    Thanks for the list! These will be perfect for the upcoming trip my wife and I are planning to Europe for our anniversary this fall! Pano looks awesome, and I’ve long been searching for a decent panoramic photo app. Not that I’m a photographer or anything, but I love taking a good picture, and sometimes just a small portion of the view just isn’t enough. XE Currency will definitely come in handy, as this is my first trip to Europe (My wife has been to Spain) and the first time to Italy and France for both of us. Another of my favorite apps for travel is this remote access app I picked up through my job at Dish. With it I’m able to access live and recorded programming off my home receiver from anywhere in the world I can get a wifi or 3G connection. It’s perfect for waiting between flights or for just chilling out in the hotel at the end of a long day. Thanks again for the heads up on Pano…downloading it now!
